About the Bayswater ferry
The Bayswater ferry provides a quick 10-minute crossing from the North Shore to downtown Auckland. It's one of the shortest ferry routes in the harbour and runs frequently during commuter peaks.

Tips for this route
- Free parking available near Bayswater Marina. Less crowded than Devonport.
- Bayswater is a quieter alternative to the Devonport ferry if you're North Shore–based and just need to get to the city.
- Weekend services are less frequent (roughly every 2–3 hours) and travel via Northcote (request stop) and Birkenhead, taking around 35 minutes.
- The terminal has bike racks and a small covered waiting area.
